Essex County Council has released an animated to film to show drivers the work that they carry out in maintaining the county's highways and transportation networks.

The video, which shows a hand drawing out images of the county in action, features a voiceover that tells people about all of the different schemes that the council run.

You may not believe it, but that's exactly the reason why seven minutes of delay were caused to journeys through Chelmsford this morning (Tuesday, January 26) according to Greater Anglia – after the bird hit a train's windscreen, causing it to be damaged.
